1. Who we are
Pimi is operated by Utsav Mazumder ("we", "us"), Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Contact: work.utsavmazumder@gmail.com.
2. What Pimi does
Pimi is a WhatsApp-based assistant that helps a household and its cook coordinate meals, ingredients and stock. It works only through WhatsApp.
3. Information we collect
- Contact details: your WhatsApp phone number and the name on your WhatsApp profile.
- Your role in the household, such as owner or cook, and which household you belong to.
- Messages you send to Pimi: text and voice notes, plus Pimi's replies.
- Household meal information: meal plans, dishes, recipes and ingredient quantities you share, stock and shopping updates, and preferences you tell Pimi (for example language or reply style).
- Delivery information from WhatsApp: whether messages were sent, delivered or read.
We do not ask for payment details, government ID numbers or health records through Pimi. Please don't send them.
4. How we use it
- To run the service: understand your messages, coordinate meals between household members and the cook, and send replies and voice notes.
- To remember household details you've shared, so you don't have to repeat them.
- To keep the service working: fix problems, prevent misuse, and keep records of what was sent.
We don't sell your information and don't use it for advertising.
5. Service providers who process your information
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform): to send and receive WhatsApp messages.
- Microsoft Azure (Azure OpenAI): an AI model that understands messages and drafts replies.
- ElevenLabs: to turn replies into voice notes and to transcribe voice notes you send.
- Google Cloud (Firebase, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage): hosting and secure storage, in Google's Mumbai region.
Some of these providers may process information outside India. They handle it under their own terms and security practices. We share only what each one needs to do its part.
6. How long we keep it
While your household uses Pimi, we keep the information described above so the service works. If you ask us to delete your data, or stop using Pimi, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep something by law. Backup copies are removed within a further 30 days.
7. Consent and each person's choice
Each person, including the cook, uses Pimi by their own choice. A household owner adding a cook's number doesn't replace the cook's own agreement. Anyone can stop at any time.
8. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law, you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw your consent at any time, and raise a complaint with us. Email work.utsavmazumder@gmail.com and we'll respond within 7 days.
9. How to stop and delete your data
- To stop messages: block Pimi's number on WhatsApp, or email us and we'll stop messaging you.
- To delete your data: email work.utsavmazumder@gmail.com with your WhatsApp number. We'll confirm when it's done.
10. Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections and private storage to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Children
Pimi is not meant for anyone under 18.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, tell you on WhatsApp.
